Following the footage showing over two hundred thousand trees were cut down by a gold mining company, in Turkey’s north-western town Çanakkale, protests quickly erupted in July 2019. The video beneath captures the environmental concerns and demands of the protestors, and the then-status of gold mining project in Çanakkale.
